Magdalena Flores, MD, FACOG
Dr. Magdalena Flores has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology in Brownsville since 1999. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Flores completed her Medical School training at the University of Puerto Rico in the summer of 1994 and her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University District Hospital, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico in 1998 where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Flores completed her Certification as Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2002 and recertified in 2006. During her years of service in the medical community, Dr. Flores has served as Chairman of the Safety Committee (2003), Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology (2009-2010 and 2012-present), and Chairman of the Pharmacy Committee (2009-2010).
Practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Flores enjoys high-risk obstetrics, specializes in adolescent and menopausal care, and is proud that she always takes time to answer questions.
Dr. Flores is an Associate Professor of the School of Biomedicine at UT-Brownsville since 2013 and is involved in the A-PRIME-TIME program helping prepare the physicians of tomorrow. Recently she was proud and happy to be named Brownsville Herald Reader’s Choice for Best OB/GYN 2016.
Away from the office, she enjoys family time with her husband Dr. Nieves, and her children Sebastian (18), and Paola Ximena (14) are her passion.
